We also have updates on Ash VS Evil Dead, Fear The Walking Dead & The Walking Dead, Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, Riverdale, and of course for the kiddos, Hotel Transylvania 3 and Goosebumps 2.

There’s just way to much to report in one setting, but I’m going to wiz through with you. Here are the highlights.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

“HALLOWEEN” (2018) BEGINS FILMING; OG SHAPE ACTOR RETURNS!

Danny McBride’s and David Gordon-Green’s Halloween for Blumhouse has begun filming, with principal photography taking place in Charleston, South Carolina [source: Blumhouse, Comicbook.com].

The film is supposed to forfeit whatever work the other filmmakers (including John Carpenter) put out for Halloween 2-8, to “bring back the horror” yet dial back (or get rid of all together) the title antagonist’s (Michael Myer’s) supernatural ability.

Green and McBride’s Halloween reunites Jamie Lee Curtis and John Carpenter with the infamous “boogeyman”, letting Curtis be the victim once more (as Laurie Strode) and Carpenter at head as executive producer.

Judy Greer is confirmed to star as Curtis’s on-screen daughter, Andi Matichak locked as Strode’s granddaughter with Ginny Gardner, Miles Robbins, Dylan Arnold and Drew Scheid also starring. Nick Castle from the original film, now in his 70s, has been confirmed to return to his infamous role, as Michael Myers. Miramax and Blumhouse Productions are co-financing the Halloween reboot.

Halloween still stalks it’s planned October 19th, release date. Could they pull it off? Hey, maybe, the original Halloween took about 20 days to film…and October is about 9 months away. There’s a chance folks that Michael will return 2018! Fingers crossed.

THREE YEARS LATER: “SLENDER MAN” MOVES FORWARD AT SONY; FATHER OF GIRL INVOLVED IN REAL-LIFE TALE SAYS “IT’S ABSURD.”

Sony is hammering away at their new flick based on the 2014 psychological phenomena that surrounded the fictional horror character, Slender Man, and the mentally-ill minds of two 12-year old girls whom stabbed their classmate in the woods. The pre-teens at the time, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser (now 15), blamed their actions on the fictional character, Slender Man, claiming the stabbing would serve him. Both girls, claim to not be responsible for their actions and are in fact mentally ill.

Per Insider: In December 2017, [Anissa] Weier was sentenced to 25 years in a psychiatric institution after pleading guilty to “being a party to attempted second-degree intentional homicide.” She claimed she wasn’t responsible for her actions because she was mentally ill. According to a report from CBS News, [Morgan] Geyser made a deal with prosecutors. She pleaded guilty to “attempted first-degree intentional homicide with the agreement that she isn’t criminally responsible and shouldn’t go to prison.”

Outraged, father to Weir, released this statement via Associated Press following the premier of the very first trailer (released Jan. 3) for Sony’s Slender Man, inspired by the above VERY REAL tale;

“It’s absurd they want to make a movie like this,” Weier said. “It’s popularizing a tragedy is what it’s doing. I’m not surprised, but in my opinion it’s extremely distasteful. All we’re doing is extending the pain all three of these families have gone through.”

Slender Man is a character birthed from a meme created by Erik Knudsen. The character is center to a myth that surrounds it, that boasts a certain horror on the public. Slender Man is said to be a tall, blank faced creature, whom is thought to be a “he”, abducts children often in forested areas and could cause psychological distress and torment.

The Sony Pics film invokes this myth with the tag-line “He Gets In Your Head Like a Virus”, with a plot centering around high-school girls facing the horror (instead of the younger girls in real life).

Synopsis: “In a small town in Massachusetts, four high school girls perform a ritual in an attempt to debunk the lore of Slender Man. When one of the girls goes mysteriously missing, they begin to suspect that she is, in fact, his latest victim.”

Slender Man is slated to premiere this May.

“DAY OF THE DEAD BLOODLINE” GETS NEW CLIP AND A TERRIBLE REVIEW

“The very year after zombiedom’s grand master [George A. Romero] passes, we get the stupid, zipless homage “Day of the Dead: Bloodline.” – Robert Abele Los Angeles Times

So it hasn’t been entirely that long since the Zom-Father, George A. Romero, passed away [July, 2017], it really hasn’t been. And now here comes a rehashing of his 1978 film Day Of The Dead, pushed ahead with the LATimes giving it an absolutely horrible review, which you could view above.

I don’t know, I liked the Dawn Of The Dead rehash. Maybe LATimes doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Synopsis: “Fear goes viral in this terrifying retelling of George A. Romero’s zombie horror classic. Five years after an epidemic nearly wiped out the world’s population, Dr. Zoe Parker lives in an underground bunker among a small group of military personnel and survivalists, working on a cure while fighting armies of the undead. When a dangerous patient from Zoe’s past infiltrates the bunker, he just might hold the key to saving humanity… or ending it.”

Anyway, there’s a clip you could watch to hold you over. But, well, I’ll warn/spoil-it for you, a women, Sophie Skelton’s Zoe, gets nearly raped by Johnathon Schnach’s Max. But then the entire thing gets cut-short by a zombie saving Zoe from Max’s advances.

Wait for the hoard to swarm on Blu-ray and DVD, February 6th. Special features include “Day of the Dead: Bloodline: Reviving Horror” featurette.

HORROR HAPPENINGS

BILLY AND SID REUNITE? SKEET ULRICH WANTS TO REUNITE WITH NEVE CAMPBELL IN “RIVERDALE”. SHUT THE F*CK UP!

Ok, so if you’re a fan of Scream like I am, you’d know that Sidney (Neve Campbell) *SPOILER ALERT* killed Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) after he was revealed to be the first Ghostface (she also killed Matthew Lilliard’s Stu Macher, btw). This led Campbell to do three sequels to the 1996 film, and now more recently star in the Netflix hit, House Of Cards. Campbell and Ulrich didn’t only star in Scream, they both also starred in the 1995 cult classic, The Craft, one year earlier.

Now that you’ve been caught up; Ulrich, whom currently stars on Riverdale as F.P Jones, recently revealed [to TVLine] he’d be open to star once again with Campbell, boasting a role for her [opposite him] on Riverdale as Jughead’s long-lost mother/F.P Jones’ long-lost ex.

Ulrich speaking on the possible casting of Campbell, claims “I think Neve [Campbell] would be interesting [for the role]. I know she’s busy doing films and stuff like that, so I don’t know if that’s a possibility, but yeah I think that she’d be very intriguing.”

Campbell currently is, as previously stated, starring on House Of Cards. Whether her character is written off the show leaving an opening in her schedule for Riverdale remains, well, in the cards.

On the front of Riverdale‘s storyline for Campbell or another possible actress, the mother of Jughead remains to be unseen and is due to be revealed. Even the show’s creator has hopes for this, according to US Magazine. The site dished Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale creator) revealed his hope to bring on Jughead’s mom last July at SDCC. Now whether this “hopeful” casting plays out, time will tell.

Oh and by the way, Ulrich mentioned Campbell as a possible choice to “tickle” us SCREAM fans. Well we’re laughing. Laughing so freakin’ hard, Skeet! Now where do I find the confirmation that you and Neve reunite on Riverdale????!

DISNEY BUYS FOX: WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH HORROR?

Disney: Think Mickey Mouse, Winnie The Pooh, Hannah Montana, etc.

So the entertainment company responsible for such classics has just added Twentieth Century FOX and the rights to all their content as another notch to their belt. Now let me ask you this question: Does American Horror Story and the rest of FOX’s “push-the-envelope style” programming fit into this way of entertainment? NOPE!

And luckily that won’t be a problem…yet; FOX executives say the Disney-FOX merger won’t be final for at least a year, so the studio plans to hold the business-as-usual front, as if the merge somehow gets terminated [Source NYTimes] until then. It’s unknown what Disney chooses to do with FOX entirely, as of yet, and FOX moguls are panicking and all Disney could do to reassure, at least somebody, is assure Ryan Murphy, Mickey Mouse won’t have to guest star on American Horror Story.

As for FOX’s films? Yeah they’ll be under Disney’s ownership as well. And with Alien Awakening, the latest installment in Ridley Scott’s ALIEN franchise for FOX, planned to going into production early this year, well, its fate seems rocky. Scott speaking with DigitalSpy on Awakening expressed how Disney’s PG-13 track record might be problematic for the film:

“It looks to me that the FOX deal is certainly going to go ahead with Disney, and I’ve been with Fox for a number years now. I’m hoping I’ll still probably be there so whether or not they go ahead with such a dark subject, being Disney, as aliens remains to be seen. I think they should because I think, when people have a hard and fast franchise which has ongoing interest, it’s crazy not to do something with it.”

The director graced with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame continued, “That’s why they’re so successful. And they draw the line at anything that crosses PG-13. If they find that they’re so successful with that that they want, to cross the line and do something a little darker, and if they do that, do they want to do that under Disney or do they want to do that under the Fox banner? I think there’s a business plan afoot definitely.”

Whether Disney will go in the direction of a dark/R-rated or PG-13 film, remains unknown. But what’s probably in the cards is a lightened up PG-13 version of Alien that may or not be a hit with the longtime fans.

JIGSAW TAKES VEGAS!

Billy isn’t done with you yet! You’ve seen the infamous doll and his partner in crime/puppeteer in the newest installment to the SAW franchise, I’m sure, but did you ever want to actually survive one of Jigsaw’s traps? Well, now you can say you have..soon. That is if you’re willing to travel to Vegas. Let me explain; Jason Egan (Fright Dome creator), has partnered with Lionsgate to bring to life a year-round immersive escape experience based on the Saw franchise.

Per the press release: Egan Productions, creative masterminds behind Las Vegas’ top-ranked haunted attraction Fright Dome, has partnered with Hollywood film studio and global content leader Lionsgate to bring to life the world’s first immersive escape experience themed after the blockbuster SAW films. SAW is one of the most successful horror franchises ever, grossing nearly $1 billion at the worldwide box office. The Las Vegas venue is set to open on January 26, 2018.

‘The Official SAW Escape Experience’ will feature numerous themed rooms where guests will go toe-to-toe with the notorious Jigsaw. After entering what appears to be an old, abandoned meat-packing plant, guests will be plunged into a world of traps and puzzles where they will need to work together to escape not just a single room, but the twists and turns of an entire building. The iconic SAW bathroom scene will be just one of the many highlights along the way, as visitors are put to the test in what has been designed to be an entirely immersive experience and one of the largest escape attractions in the world.

“Over the years we have become known for having one of the top haunted attractions,” said Fright Dome creator Jason Egan. “Back in 2009 and 2010, I had the privilege of partnering with Lionsgate to base haunted houses on the ominous SAW films, so it was only fitting that when my team began to make plans to launch a large-scale escape experience that we again turned to one of the most popular horror franchises of all time.”

“We cannot wait for fans to step into this massive escape experience and the twisted world of the SAW franchise,” said Lionsgate’s Senior Vice President of Global Live and Location Based Entertainment Jenefer Brown. We are thrilled to partner with Jason and his team at Egan again, this time on a permanent basis for an attraction fans can experience year-round.”

The SAW franchise’s eighth installment Jigsaw is on Digital now, with 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD available January 23 from Lionsgate.

SCREW FLOWERS! GET HER CANDY AND HELLRAISER: “HELLRAISER: JUDGEMENT OUT ON HOME VIDEO JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY

Icon of horror Pinhead returns to our screens once again, this time portrayed by Paul. T. Taylor in a portrayal raved about pre-viewing. The infamous punisher is set to let the carnage fly next month with a trailer dropped below; CHECK IT OUT!

The Hellraiser franchise, spawned by Clive Barker and his novella “The Hellbound Heart”, followed storylines revolving around somebody stupidly playing with Pinhead’s infamous calling-card, the puzzle box, in-turn unleashing Hell’s wrath. Ashley Laurence starred in the original and in select films in the franchise. Doug Bradley still holds his throne as franchise main/best Pinhead [so-far].

Being the tenth film in the franchise, Hellraiser: Judgement is graced with A Nightmare On Elm Street heroine actress Heather Langenkamp , whose been confirmed to be doing a cameo with Damon Carney, Randy Wayne, Alexandra Harris, John Gulager, Mike Jay Regan, Diane Golder, Andi Powers, Jeff Fenter, Helena Grace Donald and Grace Montie starring as well.

VICTOR CROWLEY RETURNS IN NEW TRAILER PRE-HOME VIDEO RELEASE

Once shrouded in secrecy, Adam Green’s Victor Crowley finally has a trailer. Featuring Kane Hodder’s Crowley on a slashing spree along with a strew of stellar reviews, view it below.

Synopsis: “In 2007, over forty people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp. Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew’s (Parry Shen) claims that local legend Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder, Friday the 13th series) was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy. But when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Andrew must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.”

Victor Crowley is due out on February 6th, on BLU-RAY, DVD and VOD, and as far as my first impression here, despite the reviews, I’m going into this with low expectations. I mean, from the trailer it looks pretty low budget, like fan-made low budget. But hey, that’s first impression.

Victor Crowley is written and directed by Adam Green and stars Kane Hodder and Parry Shen alongside Laura Ortiz (The Hills Have Eyes), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), and Brian Quinn (truTV’s “Impractical Jokers”).

PENNYWISE RETURNS: “IT”‘S NEW ADAPTATION IS AVAILABLE TO BUY!

“The new movie, a skillful blend of nostalgic sentiment and hair-raising effects, with the visual punch of big-screen digital hocus-pocus and the liberties of the R rating, still has the soothing charm of familiarity.” –A. O Scott for N.Y Times

The last adaption of Stephen King’s IT, has gone on the shelves of your local Walmart and other DVD selling stores. The film found by rave reviews stars Bill Skarsgard as the notorious PENNYWISE with Stranger Things’ alum Finn Wolfhard starring along with Sophia Lillis, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs and Jeremy Ray Taylor.

Released back in the 1990s as a two-part TV Movie adapted from Stephen King’s novel of the same name and set partly in the 1960s, is now being adapted once again, but now set in the 1980s. Following the same plot, yet this time around, to be released entirely separate from its adult half. Instead of being spliced into one long film, like it’s predecessor, the Andy Muschietti directed film will have two-parts, the latter currently in the works.

Look for IT on store shelves now!

“INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY”: SO-SO REVIEW, CONCEPT ART DROPPED

“Insidious: The Last Key isn’t an especially scary picture, least of all during a protracted climax in a mysterious netherworld that suggests a blackout rave at Alcatraz. But to its credit, it isn’t an overly assaultive one, either.” –Justin Chang Los Angeles Times

Met with a not-so stellar but no-so terrible review by L.A. Times, (above), Insidious The Last Key is and has been, welcomed to theaters since January 5th. Starring the return of Lin Shaye, as fan-favorite parapsychologist Elise Reiner, the film is set to take us back to where it all began for Elise, where her fight with the other side unfolded and where Elise became who she is today.

“Brilliant parapsychologist Elise Rainier receives a disturbing phone call from a man who claims that his house is haunted. Even more disturbing is the address — 413 Apple Tree Lane in Five Keys, N.M. — the home where Elise grew up as a child. Accompanied by her two investigative partners, Rainier travels to Five Keys to confront and destroy her greatest fear — the demon that she accidentally set free years earlier.”

Insidious The Last Key: stars Shaye alongside Leigh Whannel, Angus Sampson, Josh Stewart, Spencer Locke, Javier Botet, Hana Hayes, Caitlyn Gerald, Tessa Ferrer, Marcus Henderson, Ava Kolker, Kirk Acevedo, Melanie Gaydoes and Bruce Davison.

Check out some concept art released recently by concept artist Jacob Hair, on the film bestowing our “Key-faced demon” and then go see the film, tell us what you think in the comments!

FOR THE HORROR HALF-PINTS

THE NEW “GOOSEBUMPS” FILM, POSSIBLY TITLED “GOOSEBUMPS: SLAPPY’S REVENGE” HAS JACK BLACK OFFICIALLY SIGNED ON.

Slappy returns… for revenge with Jack Black (School Of Rock, Kung Fu-Panda) signed on! Ok. So the anticipated sequel previously thought to be entitled Goosebumps: Horrorland (inspired by R.L Stine’s infamous novel of the same name), is now not so concrete on the name front. After a post by Omega Underground, claiming the film was titled Goosebumps: Slappy’s Revenge (Once again inspired by one of R.L Stine’s infamous novels of the same name) confusion stirred on the title

The site also claims that filming will take place in Atlanta, around the first half of 2018. Deadline reports production is holding onto the 2018 release of the film, which questions OU’s credibility. Although Deadline does mention production delayed the film out a month, jumping from September 21st, to a more fitting October 12th release date.

Goosebumps sequel’s title is still in question and so is the actual release as far as the reporter is concerned. And you might as might throw in the plot as well, while you’re at it. I’ll keep you posted.

NETFLIX AND KILL

MADMAN STAR KIERAN SHIPKA CAST AS NETFLIX’S “SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH”.

So I guess Melissa Joan Hart might have some competition; Kieran Shipka (Madman) has now been cast as the next “Sabrina The Teenage Witch”. Starring in the untitled Netflix adaption of The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina The Teenage Witch Archie comic, Shipka’s character description boasts for her to play “Sabrina” pretty close to Joan Hart’s version.

Character Description: “Described as an empowered young woman, Sabrina is just beginning her dark education as a sorceress, even as she tries to maintain a normal life as a sophomore at Baxter High. Intelligent, compassionate, and brave to the point of recklessness, Sabrina is all that stands between us and the forces of darkness that threaten our world.”

Differences and Similarities with Melissa Joan Hart’s character, from the above description ? Not much. In my opinion Melissa Joan Hart already played this part, minus all the darkness we’re being promised.

Hyping the casting news, series executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa says. “This is a darker, more macabre version of Sabrina, and we’re incredibly excited for people to see Kiernan make this iconic character her own.”

The once thought to be CW adaption of Chilling was subsequently bumped to Netflix so the CW could leave themselves with one witch-centric program, Charmed reboot, read all about it here.

Aguirre-Sacasa, who penned The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics, will write and executive produce the project with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Goldwater, and Lee Toland Krueger, who will also direct. [source: EW]

MUST SEE TV

“THE WALKING DEAD” MID-SEASON PREMIERE PICS ARE HERE.

Walking Dead (2018)
Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Danai Gurira as Michonne – The Walking Dead _ Season 8, Episode 9 – Photo Credit: Gene Page/AMC

So get ready for the blow TWD fans, Carl’s *SPOILER ALERT* December-aired death is supposed to get even sadder with time. Last time we left AMC, season 8 went on a two month hiatus leaving us with Chandler Riggs’ Carl suffering a zombie bite and then a shocking death. I say “shocking” because, well, for a series based off a comic series, well…Carl doesn’t die in the books.

The decision to deviate a bit from the comics for this feat has been defended as of this publication by Robert Kirkman (TWD executive producer, TWD comic creator) himself [source EW],

“I know that some fans online have been very upset, but that’s by design,” says Kirkman. “We’re not supposed to be happy when these characters die. We are supposed to be worried about what comes next, and anticipating what comes next, and stressing about what comes next. That just shows that you’re engaged and you’re interested. Our job is to now pay that off and fulfill that interest, and prove that this was a decision worth making. That’s what we’ve got to do.”

Kirkman then continued on for his plans for the next step for TWD: “There are big, huge stories coming up that you might think will be massively altered because of the absence of Carl,” Kirkman continued, “But we have known these story lines have been coming for years. There are plans in place to make it all work. The loss of Carl doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re going to be losing big swaths of the comic book story. It means that there will be some differences to them. The goal is that those differences will be as exciting to the audience as they are to me.”

With TWD now becoming unpredictable, and with the loss of Carl and with Lennie James later departure from the show, I could only predict two things: One,  there’s going to a new casting call; and two, the season will be up for protest.

But, while we wait for TWD to return, let’s just kick back and check out these EW exclusive new shots from season 8.

TWD’ returns with it’s season 8 premiere February 25th, 2018. [UPDATE] As this publication went public, The Walking Dead was renewed for season 9!

“FEAR THE WALKING DEAD” SEASON 4: NEW CAST MEMBERS PICTUED, MORGAN FROM “TWD” CROSSOVER INCLUDED!

Fear The Walking Dead (2018)
Maggie Grace as Althea, Lennie James as Morgan Jones – Fear the Walking Dead _ Season 4, Episode 1 – Photo Credit: Richard Foreman, Jr/AMC

Fear The Walking Dead season 4 is barreling toward us (expected mid-2018) and EW has released the latest to keep us [just a bit] satisfied until then; The site released exclusive shots of the hit’s new cast members Maggie Grace, Garret Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman and Keven Zegger as well as our first look at Lennie James’ Morgan Jones crossing over from The Walking Dead.

As far as the original cast, mostly, EVERYBODY is returning with the exception of original showrunner, Dave Erickson, well, not. Erickson marks season 4 of Fear TWD’ the season of his departure with Andrew Chambliss, Ian Goldberg (Once Upon A Time) taking the reins. Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Cary, Colman Dolmingo and Danay Garcia are set to return.

As far as Lennie James’ crossover from TWD, here’s the plan via Chambliss on EW “As Morgan Jones steps into the world of FTWD, he’ll be continuing the journey he began on The Walking Dead way back in the pilot.”

Chambliss continued “When we first met Lennie, he impressed upon us how much he cared about the character and how important it was to him for us to take Morgan to places we hadn’t seen before. It’s been a great challenge to set for ourselves, and it’s what we hope to do with the character — to push Morgan to places he could only get by coming into contact with the characters on Fear.”

Below you’ll find the new Shots, stay tuned for Lennie James in The Walking Dead’s season 8 mid-season premiere February 25th.

Fear The Walking Dead returns with an anticipated fourth season Sunday, April 15 at 10 p.m. ET, and beginning the following week, the show will air at 9 p.m.

SEASON 3 OF “ASH VS EVIL DEAD” PREMIERES NEXT MONTH; HERE’S SOME NEW SHOTS!

The chainsaw-wielding, lady killing, hair-dying, wise-crackin’, Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) returns with Ash VS Evil Dead‘s third season come this February, on STARZ.

Synopsis: “The third season finds Ash, having gone from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero, discovering that he has a long-lost daughter who’s been entrusted to his care. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. But evil will learn to never get in between a papa bear and his cub.”

Campbell starring alongside a returning cast which stands as Dana DeLorenzo, Ray Santiago and Lucy Lawless are newcomers Arielle Carver-O’Neil (who will portray Ash’s long-lost daughter Brandy) and Lindsay Ferris, (who will portray Dalton). Ferris’ Dalton is set be the leader of an ancient cult called the Knights Of Sumeria, who seek Ash to help fight the “dark ones”. So that should be cool.

On another note, this whole biz with Ash and his newly found daughter…I just don’t trust it. I just don’t. I feel like during this season the Kid-That-Crawled-From-The-Woodwork is just going to turn out to be some sort of deadite or demon in disguise or something. It just seems like bad news. I don’t know STARZ, prove me wrong. Or right ;).

“Ash vs Evil Dead” Season Three will premiere Sunday, February 25, 2018, at 9 PM ET/PT and also be available for streaming or download on the STARZ app.

RYAN MURPHY LEAPS TO THE NEAR FUTURE FOR “AMERICAN HORROR STORY” SEASON 8

So far we’ve seen a murder house, a freak show, a coven, and even an homage to our past election all on American Horror Story. What’s next? Ryan Murphy says a trip to the future. Now the entire story isn’t here. But what we do know is that the season is set in the near future. Maybe a future post-Trump…a future which reflects the aftermath of Trump’s presidency? Maybe. Because during a reveal to my same source [EW], Murphy dished that Season 9 is set to crossover with Season 1’s “Murder House” theme and Season 3’s “Coven” theme. So why wouldn’t Season 7 and 8 segue into each other, in at least one way?

“All I’ll say about it is I want to go to the future — still topical, but the future, which I’ve never done,” Murphy revealed.

Season 7 of American Horror Story was inspired by America’s famed cults and their leaders. Season 8 and 9 are already planned out, with season 8 already having Sarah Paulson signed on. Speaking of, Paulson will be wearing a dental appliance for Season 8, according to EW.

But, with this Disney-FOX merger, who knows how this’ll be affected. Remember, FOX is only putting up that “business-as-usual” front temporarily.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT…

DR. LECTER? JODIE FOSTER REPRISED HER ROLE AS CLARICE STARLING FOR A TV SPOOF, AND I CAN’T GET ENOUGH.

Jodie Foster reprised her Silence Of The Lambs infamous role as FBI agent Clarice Starling, recently for an episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Colbert, sticking true to his best Anthony Hopkins imitation, portrayed Hopkins’ Hannibal Lector in a rather entertaining shtick.

Foster, breathing new life into her thought to be dead and buried ultra-ego, interrogated Dr. Lecter (Colbert)…this time around on President Trump. Right now, this is one of my favorite things in the world to watch.

CHECK IT OUT!

Now, since my last recap, all my little readers celebrated either Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza or whatever the hell. So, in the spirit, Happy [Belated] Holiday (!) Now here we are in January — the month everybody and their boss dubs “the most depressing month of the year”. Let’s combat the post-holiday, winter blues with some good ass movies (Dare I suggest Silence Of The Lambs and Sixth Sense? Cause that crap has me clapping at the end.), some good times, good food and good people.

‘Til next time, this has been your opinionated reporter signing off until February.
